Former Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida has admitted that late Moshood Abiola won the June 12, 1993, presidential election, but had no choice than to annulled it.

Speaking on Thursday during the unveiling of his autobiography, Babangida noted that the annulment of the election remained a defining moment in his career.

He also hailed former president Muhammadu Buhari for honouring Abiola with Grand Commander of the Federal Republic title.

The book titled; ‘A Journey in Service,’ is said to be an insight about the country’s history.
