Following Spain’s World Cup triumph, Lamine Yamal has emerged as the leading contender for the 2026 Ballon d’Or award. The Barcelona winger played a significant role in Spain’s successful campaign, which culminated in a victory over Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the final at MeLife Stadium on Sunday, July 19.
