Chelsea has announced the squad numbers for its 2026 pre-season tour of Australia and Asia. The tour includes five matches across three countries, with a 28-man squad initially traveling to Sydney. Additional first-team members are expected to join the squad later in the tour.
The club is scheduled to play two games in Sydney: one against A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers and another against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Following their matches in Australia, Chelsea will travel to Hong Kong to face Italian club Juventus.
The tour continues with a fixture against AC Milan in Jakarta, Indonesia, before concluding in Malaysia against Johor Darul Ta’zim. Supporters have been advised that the shirt numbers worn during the pre-season may not be the final squad numbers for the upcoming 2026/27 campaign.

Injury Concerns for Pre-Season Tour
Two players, Emmanuel Emegha and Geovany Quenda, will miss the beginning of the pre-season tour due to injuries. Emmanuel Emegha, a Netherlands international, sustained a hamstring injury during a behind-closed-doors friendly match against Bromley. This injury occurred after he scored in the 3-0 victory, bringing his pre-season goal tally to two in two appearances. The injury casts doubt on his participation in the early stages of the Australia tour.
Emegha had agreed to a pre-contract move to Stamford Bridge in September 2025 before finalizing his transfer this summer.
