Erling Haaland scored twice to help Manchester City secure a big win over West Ham in a Premier League game at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Savinho forced City’s 10th-minute opener with a left-wing cross that deflected off Vladimir Coufal before Haaland doubled their lead on 42 minutes and added a third on 55.

Phil Foden added a fourth three minutes later, but West Ham successfully pulled one back when Niclas Fullkrug turned home skipper Tomas Soucek’s cross 19 minutes from time.

The 4-1 victory equals their biggest win of the season, and the Pep Guardiola side have started off 2025 on a bright note.

Elsewhere, Chelsea were denied victory by Crystal Palace as the Blues played a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.
