Ikorodu City defeated Sunshine Stars 2-1 in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Sunday.

Shola Adelani had given Ikorodu City the lead before Chigozie Iwundu equalised in first half stoppage time.

Rivio Ayemnwere then netted the winning goal for the home side deep into stoppage time, as they sealed a big derby victory.

Elsewhere, Bashir Usman scored the only goal of the game to help Rangers defeat Niger Tornadoes 1-0 at the Bako Kontagaro Stadium in Minna.

It was a return to winning ways for the holders, who lost 1-0 away to Shooting Stars last week.
