No vacancy in Kebbi govt house — Gov Zulum

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has expressed his admiration for the foresight and visionary leadership of his Kebbi State counterpart, Comrade Nasiru Idris, declaring that there is “no vacancy” in the Kebbi Government House.
Professor Zulum made these remarks in Birnin Kebbi during the launch of a book titled Mr. Project, written in honor of Governor Nasiru Idris. He emphasized that peace and security remain the foundation upon which growth and prosperity are built.
The Borno Governor appealed to the people of Kebbi to strengthen unity, maintain peace, and continue supporting Governor Nasiru Idris to enable him to sustain and expand the good work he is doing.
“Your Governor embodies humility, integrity, and generosity. I am here in Kebbi because of his credibility,” Zulum said.
“I have inspected projects executed by my brother, Nasiru Idris. Kebbi has recorded tremendous growth under his stewardship.”
Professor Zulum also announced a donation of ₦50 million towards the book launch.
The National Organizing Secretary of the APC, Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, representing the Chief Launcher, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Senator Atiku Bagudu, praised Governor Nasiru Idris as a standout leader among his peers.
“We at the APC National Secretariat wonder where the Kebbi Governor gets the resources to accomplish so much. He is highly resourceful,” Argungu remarked.
“The book being launched serves as a reference for the younger generation of politicians and leaders, promoting transparency and focus.”
“Within 18 months, Comrade Nasiru Idris has transformed Kebbi into a model of radiance and development.”
He noted that Senator Bagudu, who was unable to attend due to official duties in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, had donated ₦50 million, while Argungu himself donated ₦10 million.
The Chairman of the occasion, former Internal Affairs Minister Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Magoro (Rtd.), lauded Comrade Nasiru Idris for excelling in governance and project execution within a short period—an achievement he described as unparalleled since 1999 in Nigeria.

General Magoro used the opportunity to advocate for justice and equity regarding the New Tax Bills. He commended Northern Governors for adopting a unified stance on the Bills and suggested convening a meeting with Northern members of the National Assembly to reinforce their position.
The Guest Speaker, Professor Bello Bada of Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, praised Governors Nasiru Idris and Babagana Zulum for their notable achievements in project execution.
“As an academic, I am not given to praise-singing, but Governor Nasiru Idris has performed admirably and deserves commendation,” Professor Bada said.
The book reviewer, Professor Muhammadu Lawal Ahmadu, Vice-Chancellor of Rayhaan University, Birnin Kebbi, recommended the book to students and researchers of contemporary current affairs, describing it as a valuable archival resource.
“Nasiru Idris epitomizes rapid development, which is the hallmark of this book. It should serve as a companion for all lovers of progress,” Professor Ahmadu remarked.
Kebbi Deputy Governor Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, who donated ₦50 million at the event, reaffirmed his loyalty and support to Governor Nasiru Idris in building on his achievements.
Senator Muhammad Adamu Alieru of Kebbi Central described Governor Nasiru Idris as “the man of the moment” and announced a donation of ₦15 million on behalf of Kebbi State’s three senators.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Kabir Sani Giant, Special Adviser on Power and Politics to the Governor, highlighted that the book reflects the principles of governance, transparency, accountability, purposeful leadership, and inclusivity under Governor Nasiru Idris.
Governor Nasiru Idris, who served as the Chief Host, attended the ceremony alongside top government officials and politicians, including Kebbi State APC Chairman Abubakar Muhammadu Kana Zuru.
