Fury’s fight against Wach took place at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Thailand on Friday. Wach signaled to his corner to stop the fight before officials ended it ahead of the eighth round. The bout was not televised and was attended by approximately 1,500 spectators in Pattaya.
Joshua’s performance in Jeddah was more dramatic. He was knocked down within 20 seconds by Prenga and hit the canvas twice in the first round. Despite this, Joshua delivered right hands to knock out the Albanian in the second round. Joshua has not fought since being involved in a car crash in December that resulted in the deaths of his friends, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.
Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, indicated that boxing has been a significant factor in Joshua’s recovery from the emotional toll of the tragedy. However, Brent Council had not been contacted about extending Wembley Stadium’s usual 11pm curfew, according to one report.
Hearn has stated that the USA is now Alalshikh’s preferred venue, but highlighted that the current signed contracts specify the fight must take place in the UK. Hearn emphasized that any change to the contract would require renegotiation. Potential UK venues mentioned include Wembley and Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, though Croke Park in Dublin appears to be no longer an option.
Spencer Brown, Fury’s manager, noted that there are several potential locations but objections exist for some. He stated that Alalshikh and Netflix will make the final decisions on the venue. Fury himself listed various possible venues, including Vegas, New York, Ireland, London, Belfast, and Pattaya.

Following his win over Prenga, Joshua stated, “I am going to rip his heart out,” while also expressing respect for Fury’s achievements. Johnny Nelson, a former WBO Cruiserweight champion, described Joshua as “mercurial,” highlighting his talent but also his vulnerability.
